Another street shot of Paris..
That one was really creepy when i saw it. Because it was a hip shot at my back and i didn't really see what was going on when i took it.
What is really goin on with those persons.. Personaly i can't believe it's real, because there were mayn of them around Notre-Dâme, looking pretty the same.. However, people acting "for" those Beggar-Gangs mostly "work" under conditions that are much worse than those of a homeless.

"Enjoy"

Still love this image...regardless of the story behind it. Very powerful. That expression you captured...man. Thought I had collected it as a fav. Guess I didn't...but will so now. Ever try it as a B&W?

First of all: Thank you very much!
And yep, tried it as B&W. Didn't give the expected kick. I think it's just the low saturated feeling that gives this "low battery" feeling in this. And as i said: I neither had a look through the camera nor did i see this woman's expression! An was stunned after it, too!

lol...I've been there...especially in the "film days". Everything was an latent image till developed. At least now with digital we can see results a few seconds after but there is still that moment when we aren't certain of what we captured with "street shooting". Things happen in a flash and then the moment is gone. This works extremely well in color...it's all about that figure's expression and the photographer who captured it precisely at the right moment. Kudos, Martin.

:) That's why photographing "filmy" is still essential i think. At least to learn REAL Photography. YOu get a much better eye for the composition. All pictures are made by THINKING not by just pushing the button (to use that metaphor again ;))
Thanks!! :)

I know what you mean, you never know what situation they're really in. You walk by and hope and pray they'll live till the next day...
I love your paris shots :)
