I haven't really run into any problems yet. I just use a digital at the moment until I can get a good camera, though. I don't se why someone would need a permit just to snap a picture.

I agree. It's so difficult to photograph anywhere now without someone badgering you or chasing you off. I got chase away when I was photographing my friend's family at a park in Manhattan Beach CA. I was told I needed a permit? :wtf: To photograph friends at a park? :wtf: This rule wasn't even posted on any signs at the park.
So now when you photograph anywhere with a DSLR Camera(digi cameras are less threatening) you run the risk of being confronted. It a shame too. That you can enjoy photography like that without looking over your shoulder.
BTW...GREAT STAMP!

Fortunately (for me) things aren't going this way in Europe / Germany. So far. But who knows what time will bring.
Thank you very much for your feedback!

It's begining to happen here in the states too. When I was taking some pictures [link] , one of the officers asked me if he could help me. I answered no and just stood there. They were right in front of my parked car and less than 15 feet from my front door! What photographer is going to sit inside with a police helicopter buzzing around the place?!?
